Who We Are

About Our Online Loan Request Service

We run a free online request service that sends one form to lenders in our network, so you can compare personal loan offers from home instead of visiting a storefront.

Who We Are and What Our Service Does

We are an online loan-request service. You fill out one form, we pass your request to lenders in our network, and any lender that can work with you shows its offer. We are not a lender and never make credit decisions.

Lenders in our network offer personal loans from $500 to $5,000, with terms that typically run 3 to 36 months. Each lender sets its own rates, fees and approval rules, and offers vary by lender, credit profile and state.

Our part of the process is narrow on purpose: a single secure form, a short list of offers to compare, and plain-language guides that explain the costs before you sign anything.

Why People Searching for a Cash Store Can Start Online

People who search for a cash store usually need a few hundred to a few thousand dollars for a specific bill. An online request lets you see offers from several lenders at once, without driving between storefronts or collecting paper quotes.

A storefront cash store can still suit some borrowers, especially anyone who prefers to talk face to face. An online request differs in a few practical ways:

  • One form, several lenders. You enter your details once instead of repeating them at each counter.
  • Side-by-side costs. APR, monthly payment, term and fees appear for each offer, so total cost is easier to compare.
  • Fixed monthly payments. Lenders in our network offer installment loans, which many borrowers find easier to plan around than one lump sum due before the next paycheck.
  • Your schedule. You can submit a request at night or on a weekend; lenders review it during their own business hours.

How We Earn Money

Lenders and marketing partners pay us when we pass along a request or when a borrower takes a loan. Borrowers pay us nothing: our request form is free, and you have no obligation to accept any offer.

Compensation can influence which offers appear and the order they appear in. Our advertiser and lending disclosure explains this in more detail, including the fact that our network does not include every lender or every loan product.

A lender may charge its own fees, such as an origination fee of about 1% to 10% of the loan amount, and some lenders charge none. Any fee comes from the lender and appears in the loan agreement before you sign.

What We Do and What We Don’t Do

We collect your request, pass it securely to lenders in our network and show you any offers they return. Lenders handle credit decisions, loan terms, funding and repayment, and every loan agreement is signed directly with the lender.

What we do

  • Provide one free request form for amounts from $500 to $5,000
  • Share your request with lenders and partners to look for possible offers
  • Publish guides that explain APR, fees, terms and total cost
  • Answer questions about how our service works

What we don’t do

  • Make loans, decide applications or set rates
  • Promise an offer, a specific rate or a funding time
  • Charge borrowers a fee to use the request form
  • Collect loan payments or manage a loan account

When a lender approves a loan, funding often happens the next business day after approval, depending on the lender. Questions about a specific loan go to that lender.

Our Editorial Standards for Loan Guides

Our guides explain borrowing costs in plain language and label every figure as an estimate. Writers check rate examples against the ranges lenders in our network report, and lender compensation does not decide what a guide recommends.

  • Labeled examples. A $2,000 loan over 18 months at 22.99% APR works out to about $132.42 a month and $2,383.56 in total, assuming no origination fee. We present figures like this as examples, never as offers.
  • Typical ranges. We quote APRs of 5.99% to 35.99% as a typical range across lenders, credit profiles and states.
  • Alternatives included. Guides cover payment plans, hardship programs and bill negotiation, because a loan is not always the cheapest option.
  • Regular review. We revisit guides when lender ranges or common fees change, and we correct errors when readers point them out.

You can browse every article in the loan guides library or look up a term such as APR in the borrowing glossary.

Who Our Service Is For

Our service is for U.S. adults who need $500 to $5,000 for a specific cost, such as a car repair, a medical bill, a funeral or a daycare deposit, and who want to compare lender offers before borrowing.

Lenders look at more than a credit score. Income, existing debt and state rules all play a part, and availability varies by state. Estimated APRs by credit tier from lenders in our network:

Estimated APR ranges by credit tier (examples, not offers)
Credit tierEstimated APR range
Excellent (720+)8% to 15%
Good (690–719)13% to 20%
Fair (630–689)18% to 30%
Poor (below 630)28% to 35.99%

To see the basic requirements first, our eligibility guide lists what lenders usually ask for. For each step of the process, read how our request process works.
