01

We Are Not a Lender

Cash Store Near Me operates this website as an online request service and is not a lender. We do not make loans or credit decisions. We pass your request to lenders and partners, and each lender decides whether to make an offer.

Any loan you receive is between you and the lender. The lender sets the APR, fees, term and repayment schedule, sends the funds and services the loan.

02

How We Are Compensated

Lenders and marketing partners compensate us, for example when we pass along a request or when a borrower accepts an offer. You pay us nothing to use our request form and are never required to accept an offer.

Compensation may affect which offers you see and the order in which they appear. A lender that pays more may be shown more often or higher in a list. An offer’s position is not a ranking of which loan suits you best.

Compare each offer on APR, total cost, fees and term before choosing.

03

Not All Lenders or Loan Products Are Included

Our network includes a limited group of lenders and partners. Many lenders and loan products in the market are not part of it, so the offers you see may not be the lowest-cost options available to you.

You may find other choices through a bank or credit union, a hospital payment plan or a creditor’s hardship program. Our lender comparison guide covers the factors to weigh.

04

Typical APRs, Terms and a Representative Example

Lenders in our network typically offer APRs from 5.99% to 35.99% and repayment terms from 3 to 36 months on loans of $500 to $5,000. Your actual APR depends on the lender, your credit and your state.

Representative example: A $2,000 loan repaid over 18 months at 22.99% APR would have a monthly payment of about $132.42. Total repayment would be about $2,383.56, including $383.56 in interest. The example assumes no origination fee.

Some lenders charge an origination fee of about 1% to 10% of the loan amount, which may be deducted from the funds you receive. Estimated APR ranges by credit tier:

Estimated APR ranges by credit tier (examples, not offers)
Credit tierEstimated APR range
Excellent (720+)8% to 15%
Good (690–719)13% to 20%
Fair (630–689)18% to 30%
Poor (below 630)28% to 35.99%

All figures are estimates for illustration and are not offers of credit. See our rates page for more detail.

05

Availability, Approval and Funding Speed

Loans are not available in all states, and lenders set their own eligibility rules. Submitting a request does not guarantee an offer, approval, a specific rate or a specific funding time.

When a lender approves a loan, funds often arrive the next business day after approval, depending on the lender and your bank. Some states cap loan amounts or rates, and some lenders do not operate in certain states at all.

06

Credit Checks

Lenders may check your credit when you submit a request or before final approval. A soft inquiry does not affect your credit score, while a hard inquiry may lower it slightly for a period of time.

Lenders may also use consumer reports from specialty agencies to verify identity, income or banking history. Each lender explains its credit check practices in its own terms.

07

Consequences of Late or Missed Payments

Paying late or missing payments can lead to late fees, returned-payment fees and negative reports to the credit bureaus, which can lower your credit score. Each lender sets its own fees and collection practices.

  • Late fees and returned-payment fees, as listed in the loan agreement
  • Negative credit reporting once a payment is past due, often after 30 days
  • Collection activity, which may include calls, letters or a collection agency
  • Possible legal action on unpaid balances, as permitted by state law

Contact your lender before a payment is due if you expect trouble. Many lenders offer a due-date change or a short hardship plan. Refinancing or renewing a loan may add cost, so ask the lender for the full terms first.
